Every year there is a gradual development of the material and production base and the introduction of the latest production technologies. In 2020, construction work was completed to modernize production and storage facilities located in the Republic of Karelia. The reconstruction made it possible to double the storage capacity for storing frozen wild-growing raw materials and to launch a new modern plant for the cleaning of wild-growing berries. During the design and construction, modern solutions were used to optimize and make the work of all production and refrigeration equipment as efficient as possible. About company
FRESHBERRY LLC - a dynamically developing company specializing in the harvesting and cleaning of wild berries, mushrooms, medicinal wild and cultivated herbs and birch sap. We annually harvest 4,000 tons of wild berries, including lingonberries, blueberries, cloudberries and cranberries. Every year the company increases the volume of procurement. During the season, more than 100 people are employed in production, 50% of them are seasonal workers.
The production line is equipped with equipment from leading European manufacturers in the field of technologies used for freezing and cleaning fruits, berries, vegetables and fruits, including TOMRA, UNIDEX, MEGA, ATLAS COPCO and others. The berry peeling technology provides for berry freezing in a fluidization tunnel, Individual Quick Frozen (IQF) technology, repeated sifting and polishing of the berry with the removal of leaves, stalks, stones, branches and other fractions. Two sorting machines with optical and laser capture of any foreign objects similar to the fruits of berries with a foreign origin positively distinguish us from our competitors! A metal detector for finished products and additional magnets on the line and control on the inspection table complement the reliability of the quality of our products. The equipment capacity allows to produce up to 12,000 tons of berries per year.
The company has its own procurement network for picking wild berries and mushrooms in the Republic of Karelia and Komi, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov, Leningrad, Kirov, Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions, as well as regular partners in the Republic of Belarus. The presence of our own procurement network allows us to control the quality of products at all stages of the production cycle, starting from the collection of raw materials, their freezing, cleaning, processing and until they are shipped to the end customer.
We monitor the entire volume of raw materials purchased at procurement points for radiation levels. In addition, all raw materials are monitored for radiation levels in a stationary laboratory and additional monitoring for radiation levels is performed on finished products. New technologies for processing and cleaning berries make it possible not only to effectively clean and reject foreign and defective raw materials, but also to sort them according to various adjustable parameters. We carefully check and sort all raw materials for the presence of radioactive contamination. We take laboratory samples every hour and analyze the finished product.
